Intense dark colour with violet reflexes. Elegant and complex nose, with notes of violet, wild berries and chocolate. Fine mineral and earthy aromas. On the palate it shows great structure and a lengthy finish.

Quinta do Cardo Selecção do Enólogo
Red
This wine of great complexity and elegance is the result of the 20 month ageing process in French oak barrels of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz.
The grapes were hand picked to 20 kg boxes, and endured a careful selection. After total de-stemming, a 6 day pre-fermentation maceration of whole grapes was done. Fermentation took place in stainless steel vats, at a controlled temperature of 26º- 28°C with 2 daily “deslestage”. Wines underwent malolactic fermentation in tank and were racked before Spring to French oak barrels ( 2nd -3rd year). The wines aged for 20 months.
