Deep purple colour with lush aromas of black fruit, black pepper, mocha and some herbal hints. On the palate is dense, full-bodied and reveals a fine balance between acidity and firm tannins, promising good ageing potential.

Quinta da Fronteira Grande Reserva
Red
Made from the grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz e Touriga Franca, this wine is the high end level of Quinta da Fronteira estate, revealling all the potential and richness of the Douro Superior terroir. Production: 3,362 bottles.
Grapes were handpicked to 16 kg cases and carefully selected at the winery. Touriga Nacional was subjected to a 5 day cold maceration period, Touriga Franca to a 7 day period. Fermentation occurred in conical vats for 20 days. Malolactic fermentation of Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz was done in oak barrels, while Touriga Franca was done on lees. After spending 20 months in new French oak barrels and several tastings, the best barrels from each wine, were selected for the final blend.
